These training plans are designed for a range of athletes, from beginners to elites. Utilizing Training Peaks software, our programs can be accessed on desktop or mobile devices.
BEGINNER MOUNTAIN 50KM TRAINING PLAN
New to mountain running? Want to try an event with a whopping amount of elevation gain? This 12-week training plan is great for building your base and/ or getting fit towards most mountain events.
Previous athletes under a similar training plan have raced:
-Barkley Fall Classic (BFC) (10,000ft of climbing)
-Speedgoat 50km (11,000ft of climbing)
-Broken Arrow 50km (10,000ft of climbing)
-The Rut 50km (10,500ft of of climbing)
-Santa Barbara Nine Trails 35-Mile (11,000ft of climbing)

This training plan includes 5 days of running and 2-3 days of strength training most weeks.
